Geneva, SANA-SANA delegate to Geneva was informed that head of the Syrian Arab Republic to Geneva, Bashar al-Jaafari, held today a new meeting with deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Gennady Gatilov to discuss the course of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue being run in Geneva.<\/p>\n
Gatilov, in a press statement, following his meeting with “al-Riyadh opposition”, renewed Russia’s full support to the efforts of UN Special envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura, saying that holding a direct dialogue meantime between the delegation of Syrian Arab Republic and the delegations of “oppositions” is not possible.<\/p>\n
He added that Moscow has suggested to the delegation of “al-Riyadh opposition” to continue contacts regarding the breaches of cessation of hostilities in Syria.<\/p>\n
Gatilov considered that members of “al-Riyadh opposition” maybe don’t possess full information about the development of situation on the ground in Syria, saying the information they have don\u2019t keep up with reality.<\/p>\n
He said “there is a joint understanding on the need for going ahead in the settlement of crisis in Syria.”<\/p>\n
For its part, the Russian mission to the International organizations in Geneva said that Gatilov held consultations with the delegation of “Cairo Platform” dealing with the crisis in Syria.<\/p>\n
