Moscow, SANA- Russian Defense Ministry said that\u00a0neither Russian nor Syrian air forces had directed\u00a0any strike against the positions of the so-called\u00a0Syrian Democratic Forces in Manbij city, north\u00a0Syria.<\/p>\n
” Commander of the American Air Forces expressed\u00a0concern that Russian and Syrian aircraft could\u00a0carry out an unintended strike at positions of\u00a0Washington-backed fighters during an anti-terrorist operation,” the Russian Ministry added\u00a0in a statement Wednesday.<\/p>\n
To avoid any incidents, the US representative\u00a0has provided exact coordinates of the positions of\u00a0the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces, the\u00a0statement said, adding that the information was\u00a0“taken into account” by the Russian military.<\/p>\n
Not a single air strike on the regions specified\u00a0by the US side was conducted by Russian or Syrian\u00a0air forces,” the statement went on to say.<\/p>\n
The defense ministry also said it would continue\u00a0“effective cooperation” with the US military\u00a0through established channels in order to fight the\u00a0ISIS terrorist group in Syria.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Commander of the so-called international\u00a0alliance against ISISI in Iraq and Syria Stephen\u00a0Townsend announced that Russian and Syrian jets\u00a0bombed US-backed fighters in Syria.
