Astana, SANA- Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs\u00a0Kairat Abdrakhmanov announced that Russia, Iran\u00a0and Turkey confirmed their participation in Astana\u00a0next meeting on Syria scheduled to be held on\u00a0March 14 and 15.<\/p>\n
“We received an official message from Russia, the\u00a0Russian president’s special envoy, the Russian\u00a0Foreign Ministry’s special representative will\u00a0take part,” Abdrakhmanov told the Kazakh\u00a0Parliament in his speech on Monday.<\/p>\n
“The deputies foreign affairs ministers of Turkey\u00a0and Iran have announced their participation. We\u00a0expect confirmation from other participants of the\u00a0meeting,” Abdrahkmanov added.<\/p>\n
The format and agenda depend on the views of the\u00a0guarantor countries Russia, Turkey and Iran, ”\u00a0Abdrakhmanov said.<\/p>\n
He added that the participating delegates to\u00a0Astana meeting will arrive later on Monday.<\/p>\n
The final statement of Astana meeting held last\u00a0January 23-24 affirmed commitment to the\u00a0sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial\u00a0integrity of Syria and that the crisis in it canm\u00a0only be solved through a political process. While\u00a0the second meeting on February 13 dealt with\u00a0enhancing the cessation of hostilities in Syria.<\/p>\n
