Tehran, SANA_ Iran strongly deplored the Israeli\u00a0airstrikes on Syrian territories, calling on the\u00a0UN to condemn it and take serious action to\u00a0prevent repetition of such aggression.<\/p>\n
The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram\u00a0Qassemi underlined on Saturday that the Zionists’\u00a0attacks against the Syrian territories indicate\u00a0that Israel’s interests are met by strengthening\u00a0the Takfiri-Zionist terrorists.<\/p>\n
He warned of the consequences of any repetition of\u00a0such provocative measures, and asked the UN to\u00a0deplore them and do its best to prevent repetition\u00a0of such acts which are against peace and security.<\/p>\n
On Friday, the General Command of the Army and the\u00a0Armed Forced announced that the Syrian air defense\u00a0downed one of four Israeli warplanes that violated\u00a0the Syrian airspace and targeted a military site\u00a0in the eastern countryside of Homs.<\/p>\n
According to a statement by the Command, the four\u00a0Israeli aircrafts violated the Syrian airspace in\u00a0al- Breij area through the Lebanese territories at\u00a02:40 am.<\/p>\n
