Provinces, SANA – A military source\u00a0said on Thursday\u00a0hundreds of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and groups affiliated to it were killed or injured as a result of the army’s successive strikes against their movements in several directions in Jobar neighborhood on the eastern outskirts of Damascus.<\/p>\n
Earlier SANA reporter in Damascus said army units carried out military\u00a0operations on Jabhat al-Nusra and other Takfiri\u00a0terrorist groups affiliated to it north of Jobar\u00a0neighborhood and Eastern Ghouta in the countryside of Damascus.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0military operations targeted the positions to\u00a0which the terrorist groups infiltrated on Tuesday\u00a0in the surroundings of the textile factories,\u00a0north of Jobar neighborhood, inflicting heavy\u00a0losses upon the terrorists in personnel and\u00a0equipment.<\/p>\n
The army operations on the terrorist positions\u00a0north of Jobar neighborhood during the past two\u00a0days left more than 157 terrorists dead, among\u00a0them foreign terrorists and self-claimed leaders\u00a0and hundreds others injured in addition to\u00a0destroying three booby-trapped vehicles before\u00a0arriving to the army posts, three tanks, four\u00a0armored vehicles, 5 mortar launcher, 3 cannons and\u00a015 machine gun-equipped vehicles.<\/p>\n
The source added that the army shelled the\u00a0terrorists’ movement axes and supply routes coming\u00a0from the Eastern Ghouta towards north of Jobar\u00a0neighborhood inflicting heavy losses upon them in\u00a0personnel and equipment.<\/p>\n
