Beirut, SANA- Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch of\u00a0Antioch and All East Gregory III Laham called for\u00a0uniting the efforts for facing the blind Takfiri\u00a0terrorism and putting an end to the criminal\u00a0acts.<\/p>\n
In a statement on Monday, Patriarch Laham said “The blind Takfiri terrorism entails from all of\u00a0us an active move that goes beyond the
\ndenunciation and condemnation because the\u00a0criminality witnessed in the region is backed by\u00a0major powers that remotely control the terrorist\u00a0organizations.”<\/p>\n
He added that the souls and dignity of humanity\u00a0have become targeted by those terrorists;\u00a0therefore, we must disclose the identity of the\u00a0major criminals who are the decision-makers.<\/p>\n
The Patriarch considered that hunting down\u00a0terrorists, despite of its importance, will not\u00a0stop the killing machine because the conscience of\u00a0those who support this machine is not shaken by\u00a0the bloodshed in all the states as the logic of\u00a0international interests prevailed.<\/p>\n
Laham offered sincere and heartfelt condolences to\u00a0his Holiness Pope Tawadros II, and to the Coptic\u00a0Church and to the Egyptian leadership following\u00a0the terrorist attack that took place in Egypt and\u00a0claimed the lives of tens of people and injured\u00a0others who were marking Palm Sunday.<\/p>\n
