{"id":104222,"date":"2017-04-13T12:48:34","date_gmt":"2017-04-13T09:48:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/?p=104222"},"modified":"2017-04-13T16:27:24","modified_gmt":"2017-04-13T13:27:24","slug":"army-foils-attacks-by-isis-and-jabhat-terrorists-on-military-posts-in-homs-countryside-and-daraa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=104222","title":{"rendered":"Army foils attacks by ISIS and Jabhat terrorists on\u00a0military posts in Homs countryside and Daraa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Provinces, SANA- Army units, in cooperation with the\u00a0backing forces, foiled an attack by ISIS-affiliated terrorist groups on military posts in\u00a0the eastern countryside of <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Homs<\/span> central province.<\/p>\n<p>A military source told SANA that terrorist groups\u00a0attacked from the axes of al-Mahsa \/Sawwaneh\u00a0Mountain\/ al-Qaryatain Dam a number of military\u00a0posts in the area of Dhour Thanyiet al-Mzaibleh in\u00a0the eastern countryside.<\/p>\n<p>The source added that army units, in cooperation\u00a0with the backing forces, foiled the attack,\u00a0inflicting heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists in\u00a0the personnel and equipment.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Daraa<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Army units destroyed gatherings,\u00a0vehicles and two US-made Tow rocket launch pads\u00a0for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Daraa al-Balad<br \/>\narea.<\/p>\n<p>A military source told SANA that an army unit\u00a0engaged, during the past hours, in fierce clashes\u00a0with Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist groups, which\u00a0attacked military posts in the outskirts of al-Manshiyeh neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad from the\u00a0directions of al- Khansaa School and Haret al-Bajabija.<\/p>\n<p>The source added that the clashes ended up with\u00a0the killing of a number of the terrorists while\u00a0the rest fled away, in addition to destroying two\u00a0tanks, two US-made Tow rocket launch pads and a<br \/>\nmachinegun-equipped vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Later, the source said that army units directed intensive strikes on movement axes and fortifications for Jabhat al-Nusra in al-Naima and on the road of Mlihit al-Atash\/ Karim al-Janobi, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their weaponry and equipment.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Quneitera<\/span><\/p>\n<p>SANA reporter in Quneitra said that an army unit directed artillery strikes on gatherings for Jabhat al-Nusra in Mas&#8217;hara village in the eastern countryside of Quneitra, killing a number of terrorists, injuring others and destroying 120-mm mortar cannon.<\/p>\n<p>The reporter added that terrorist organizations positioned in Mas&#8217;hara village fired a number of artillery\u2019s shells on the area surrounding Tal al-Shahim al-Askari, causing no injuries.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that army units responded to the sources of shells and destroyed them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Provinces, SANA- Army units, in cooperation with the\u00a0backing forces, foiled an attack by ISIS-affiliated terrorist groups on military posts in\u00a0the eastern countryside of Homs central province.
