Moscow, SANA- The downing of a Syrian warplane in\u00a0Raqqa countryside by the US-led international\u00a0coalition is a new step towards dangerous\u00a0escalation, Russian Foreign Ministry said Monday,\u00a0warning Washington again against using military\u00a0force against Syrian forces.<\/p>\n
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov\u00a0expressed his country’s concern and annoyance over\u00a0downing the Syrian jet.<\/p>\n
“We received with concern and annoyance the news\u00a0of targeting a Syrian warplane and downing it,”\u00a0Ryabkov said, adding: ” The direct attack against\u00a0a Syrian governmental warplane is considered a
\nnew step towards dangerous escalation.”<\/p>\n
He warned Washington against repeating such acts.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, the Army general command announced that\u00a0the air force of the so-called “international\u00a0coalition” targeted one of the army’s warplanes in\u00a0al-Rasafah region in Raqqa southern countryside\u00a0while it was carrying out a combatant mission
\nagainst ISIS terrorist organization, causing it to\u00a0down and missing its pilot.<\/p>\n
The General command said in a statement that the\u00a0flagrant aggression undoubtedly affirms the US\u00a0real stance in support of terrorism which aims to\u00a0affect the capability of the Syrian Arab army- the\u00a0only active force- along with its allies that\u00a0practice its legitimate right in combating\u00a0terrorism all over Syria.<\/p>\n
