Moscow, SANA – Kazakh Foreign Ministry announced\u00a0that the bilateral meetings among the delegations participating in 2nd day of 5th Astana\u00a0meeting on Syria will focus on defining the borders of the de-escalation zones in Syria.<\/p>\n
Ministry spokesman Anuar Zhainakov told reporters\u00a0on Wednesday that the negotiations started and the bilateral meetings are underway as\u00a0the main topic is defining the borders of these zones.<\/p>\n
Zhainakov added that the plenary session will\u00a0start at 04:00 (Astana local time), asserting that all delegations are expected to
\nparticipate in that session, including the guarantor countries as well as the representatives\u00a0of the “armed opposition.”<\/p>\n
The delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic, headed\u00a0by Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari, has held two separate meetings with the Russian and Iranian\u00a0delegations in the framework of the two-day Astana meeting which kicked off at the Kazakh\u00a0capital on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
