Damascus, SANA- Prime Minister Imad Khamis toured\u00a0on Monday Damascus International Airport to inspect the preparations for the opening of the\u00a059th Damascus International Fair next Thursday, as well as inspecting the services\u00a0provided to passengers.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister relieved Director of Damascus\u00a0International Airport Basel Ma’adanli from his post and ordered the termination of the\u00a0investment contracts of the company that offers the services at the Airport, based on\u00a0complaints from passengers.<\/p>\n
Khamis toured the Airports’ sections as he was\u00a0briefed on the maintenance works there, pointing out the necessity of rehabilitating all\u00a0its sections in a way that meets the needs of all passengers in general and the\u00a0delegations and companies participating in the Fair in particular.<\/p>\n
For his part, Transport Minister Ali Hammoud\u00a0stressed that the 5 gates that have been closed since the beginning of the war on Syria
\nhave been reopened and equipped to accommodate the airport’s activities during the\u00a0Fair.<\/p>\n
In the same context, Interior Minister Lt. Gen.\u00a0Mohammad al-Shaar said that a number of facilitations have been provided at the airport,
\nparticularly in the Immigration and Passports Department to facilitate the arrival of\u00a0the participants in the Fair.<\/p>\n
