{"id":11188,"date":"2014-08-25T13:08:19","date_gmt":"2014-08-25T10:08:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sana.sy\/en\/?p=11188"},"modified":"2015-09-19T21:07:25","modified_gmt":"2015-09-19T18:07:25","slug":"burial-ground-dating-back-to-middle-bronze-age-unearthed-in-sweida","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=11188","title":{"rendered":"Burial ground dating back to Middle Bronze Age unearthed in Sweida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sweida, SANA &#8211; The national expedition working at the site of Tal Dubat Breikieh in Sweida Province has unearthed a burial ground dating back to the Middle Bronze Age circa 2000-2500 B.C.<\/p>\n<p>Head of Sweida Archeology Department Hussein Zein-Eddin told SANA that the uncovered burial ground, which is located to the south of Tal Dubat Breikieh, contains two skeletons, one of which is whole.<\/p>\n<p>Zein-Eddin indicated that other burial grounds were also discovered during the previous excavation seasons.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/archeology-11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-11192\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/archeology-11-300x198.jpg\" alt=\"archeology 1\" width=\"300\" height=\"198\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/archeology-11-300x198.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/archeology-11-150x99.jpg 150w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/archeology-11.jpg 307w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The expedition has also unearthed a number of the funerary artifacts such as oriels and small pitchers made of inlaid black pottery dating back to 1800 B.C.<\/p>\n<p>During previous excavation seasons , the archeological expedition working at the site has found the relics of a residential house dating back to the Aramaic era circa 700 B.C.<\/p>\n<p>A number of clay pieces, pottery, vessels, walls, and floors have also been found at the site.<\/p>\n<p>Ruaa al-Jazaeri \/ Ghossoun \/ Hazem Sabbagh<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sweida, SANA &#8211; The national expedition working at the site of Tal Dubat Breikieh in Sweida Province has unearthed a burial ground dating back to the Middle Bronze Age circa 2000-2500 B.C.
