Damascus, SANA The Foreign and Expatriates\u00a0Ministry Conference, chaired by Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem, held on\u00a0Wednesday its closing session.<\/p>\n
The session started by observing a moment of\u00a0silence in honor of Syria’s martyrs.<\/p>\n
Speaking on behalf of the Conference’s members, al-Moallem thanked President Bashar al- Assad for the speech he delivered at the beginning\u00a0of the conference, considering the President’s speech as a guide for the work of the\u00a0Syrian diplomatic track in the upcoming stage.<\/p>\n
He saluted the Syrian Armed Forces personnel,\u00a0lauding their sacrifices in defending the homeland in the face of the Takfiri terrorist\u00a0groups and in restoring security and stability to it.<\/p>\n
Minister al-Moallem reviewed the most important\u00a0issues and topics that would enhance the level of the performance of the Syrian diplomatic\u00a0corps in facing the conspiracy and the unfair aggression on Syria, in addition to\u00a0unveiling the reality of what is going on the political and media arenas.<\/p>\n
The Minister called for practicing an active\u00a0economic diplomacy for preparing the right groundwork for the reconstruction phase in service\u00a0of national interests.<\/p>\n
Al-Moallem reiterated the importance of giving\u00a0expatriates a top priority, enhancing communication and constructive interaction with
\nthe Syrian communities abroad, and urging them to contribute actively to the reconstruction\u00a0process.<\/p>\n
He also stressed the importance of meeting the\u00a0needs of the citizens residing abroad, particularly regarding consular affairs,\u00a0indicating to the multiple measures adopted by the Ministry in this field.<\/p>\n
