Ashgabat, SANA- Chairman of the General Sports\u00a0Federation Muwafaq Jum’a stressed that the Syrian\u00a0sport has been strongly active during the past\u00a0years and has scored many achievements in various\u00a0continental and international tournaments and\u00a0championships.<\/p>\n
During his meeting with an Arab sports media\u00a0delegation to the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial\u00a0Arts Games, Jum’a said that the Syrian sports is\u00a0faring well thanks to the sacrifices of the Syrian\u00a0Arab Army personnel and the determination of the\u00a0Syrians and athletes, noting that the Syrian\u00a0athletes are their country’s ambassadors to all
\nsport events who are conveying peaceful massages\u00a0to the entire world.<\/p>\n
Jum’a hailed the stances of the Arab countries\u00a0which supported Syria, adding that Syria will\u00a0remain the throbbing heart of Arabism.<\/p>\n
He expressed Syria’s readiness to host an Arab\u00a0Games in Damascus or Lattakia next year.<\/p>\n
Asked about his expectations about the Syrian\u00a0Football team, Jum’a hoped that the Syrian team\u00a0will defeat Australia and move ahead to the World\u00a0Football Cup.<\/p>\n
