{"id":114347,"date":"2017-09-22T11:31:45","date_gmt":"2017-09-22T08:31:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/?p=114347"},"modified":"2017-09-22T11:31:45","modified_gmt":"2017-09-22T08:31:45","slug":"al-moallem-meets-lebanese-counterpart-on-sidelines-of-un-general-assembly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=114347","title":{"rendered":"Al-Moallem meets Lebanese counterpart on sidelines of UN General Assembly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New York, SANA \u2013 Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem met on Thursday his Lebanese counterpart Gebran Bassil on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly held on September 19-25.<\/p>\n<p>Both ministers discussed the bilateral relations betwene the two brotherly countries, including in political and economic coordination and cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Syrian-Lebanese relations are firm no matter how much some try to put obstacles in their way,&#8221; al-Moallem said during the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>He touched upon the developments in the field of combatign terrorism and with regard to the Astana process and the de-escalation zones, stressing that Syria will go ahead in fighting terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Bassil highlighted the importance of the relations and coordination between Syria and Lebanon in the varioys fields.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed out that the positive developments witnessed in the Syrian arena and the victories of the Syrian Arab Army over terrorism will force those who have a negative attitude towards Syria to reconsider their position and join the reconstruction process in the country.<\/p>\n<p>H.
