{"id":114786,"date":"2017-09-29T12:56:34","date_gmt":"2017-09-29T09:56:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/?p=114786"},"modified":"2017-09-29T12:56:34","modified_gmt":"2017-09-29T09:56:34","slug":"russian-experts-dismantle-1500-explosive-objects-in-deir-ezzor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=114786","title":{"rendered":"Russian experts dismantle 1500 explosive objects in Deir Ezzor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Moscow, SANA &#8211; Russian demining experts dismantled over 1500 IEDs left behind by ISIS terrorists in Deir Ezzor, Russian Defense Ministry said.<\/p>\n<p>In statement on Friday, the Ministry said &#8220;Experts from the International Mine Action Center are focusing primarily on removing landmines from roads leading to the city\u2019s social infrastructure, hospitals, water and electric facilities,&#8221; in addition to roads and buildings inside the city of Deir Ezzor, its entrances and suburbs to make the passage safe for humanitarian convoys.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry noted that the preliminary estimate is that Russian experts will have to remove explosive devices from up to 1,500 hectares.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A contingent of over 170 personnel of Russia\u2019s International Mine Action Center, 40 special-purpose and engineering vehicles, and 10 mine-sweeping teams has been deployed to Syria,&#8221; the ministry said.<\/p>\n<p>Over the first few days of their work in Deir Ezzor, the Russian demining experts dismantled more than 1500 &#8220;explosive objects&#8221;, including a hundred improvised explosive devices, demining 8 kilometers (5 miles) of roads, eight buildings and 3 hectares of land, according to the statement.<\/p>\n<p>Shaza\/H.
