Paris, SANA – French President Emmanuel Macron expressed his country\u2019s intention to boost its initiative to form a contact group on Syria, noting that France is keen to find a political solution in the country and achieve stability in Iraq.<\/p>\n
His remarks came in a joint press conference with Iraq\u2019s Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Macron said that France is in a contact with all the political parties and leaders in the region to consolidate and boost the establishment of the contact group.<\/p>\n
In his address before the UN General Assembly last month, the French President called for creating a contact group on Syria in order to launch a new dynamism to push towards a political solution in Syria. The group will include the five member states of the Security Council and the influential parties in the
\ncrisis.<\/p>\n
