Geneva, SANA \u2013 Permanent Mission of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United Nations Office at Geneva stressed that the High Commissioner and other workers in the Office of the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights in Geneva (OHCHR) continue to distort facts about what is going on in Syria in service to sides enemy to Syria, which makes them dependent to misleading data and false witnesses and they also become partners in providing political cover to aggression on Syria and the crimes of the terrorist groups and their supporters.<\/p>\n
In a statement, the Mission said that \u201cOnce again the High Commissioner touched upon the developments in Syria in a way that is filled with fallacies maneuvering the political and legal descriptions, which reflects the selectiveness and the irresponsible disrespect of the principles of impartiality and neutrality.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe latest statement issued on 10th of February by OHCHR- the most recent example in a series of provocative stances that are far from reality- are involved in the aggressive policies adopted by a number of states that made war in Syria an overt goal indifferent with the international law rules or the UN Charter based on the respect of sovereignty of states,\u201d the statement continued to say.<\/p>\n
The Mission clarified that \u201cthe suspicious neglect of OHCHR statements for those states known for involvement in terrorism in Syria and the direct support to it and the continuous neglect of the US, Turkish and Israeli assaults on the sovereignty of Syria push us to wonder about OHCHR motives and the kind of the international move the Commissioner was talking about.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe selectiveness of the OHCHR statements on slamming the military operations that are targeting Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists, designated by the UNSC as a terrorist organization- and its denying the rights and responsibilities of the Syrian state in defending its citizens from the daily terror violence targeting it push us to think about the objectives of the Commissioner,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n
The Mission stressed in the conclusion of the statement that the High Commissioner and other workers in the Office continue to adopt aggressive stances in a selective and biased manner in terms of timing and content and that makes them liable to the misleading data and the false eyewitnesses on what is going on in Syria as they become partners in providing political cover to the aggression on Syria.<\/p>\n
