{"id":132885,"date":"2018-04-03T19:43:02","date_gmt":"2018-04-03T16:43:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/?p=132885"},"modified":"2018-04-03T19:45:10","modified_gmt":"2018-04-03T16:45:10","slug":"damascus-goes-blue-for-awareness-of-autism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=132885","title":{"rendered":"Damascus goes blue for awareness of Autism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Damascus, SANA- Some main buildings in the capital city of Damascus were lit up with blue lights in support of Autism Awareness Day.<\/p>\n<p>The event is a part of \u201cDamascus Colored with Hope\u201d campaign which was launched on the occasion of the International Day for Awareness of Autism by the Syrian Organization for the Disabled (AAMAL).<\/p>\n<p>The campaign will also include recreational activities and workshops on early detection of autism disorder.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Hejaz Railway Station,<a href=\"https:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Damascus-autism-blue-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-132887 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Damascus-autism-blue-2-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Damascus-autism-blue-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Damascus-autism-blue-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Damascus-autism-blue-2.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Damascus Citadel, Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts, AMAAL\u2019s headquarters, Building of Radio and Television Corporation, Four Seasons Hotel and Dama Rose Hotel were lit up with blue lights on Monday on the occasion, according to AAMAL\u2019s statement.<\/p>\n<p>This lighting will continue until the ninth of this April to spread hope, solidarity and awareness of the disorder.<\/p>\n<p>1 in 86 children reported to have autism around the world each year.<\/p>\n<p>The next week, according to the statement, will witnessed the launching of \u201c The World in Their Eyes\u201d event which includes a short film show in Al-Buraq stores, which details the daily life of autistic children aiming at increasing the ability to understand the disorder and absorb the children with autism.<a href=\"https:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Damascus-autism-blue-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-132888 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Damascus-autism-blue-3-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Damascus-autism-blue-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Damascus-autism-blue-3-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Damascus-autism-blue-3.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Workshops on early detection of autism, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, will be set up on 10-11 of April in addition to launching the hashtag of \u201cDamascus-colored-with-hope&#8221; in solidarity with persons with autism.<\/p>\n<p>AAMAL is a non-profit local organization that was established in 2002 to improve the lives of disabled persons through building knowledge and awareness, providing treatment and rehabilitation, and integrating them actively in society.<br \/>\nOn the second of April, the world celebrates the International Day for Awareness of Autism in order to shed light on this disorder and its indicators and ways to rehabilitate its patients.
