{"id":136181,"date":"2018-05-01T21:55:58","date_gmt":"2018-05-01T18:55:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/?p=136181"},"modified":"2018-05-01T21:55:58","modified_gmt":"2018-05-01T18:55:58","slug":"boroujerdi-syria-is-the-front-line-of-resistance-in-the-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=136181","title":{"rendered":"Boroujerdi: Syria is the front line of Resistance in the region"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Damascus,\u00a0SANA_ Chairman of the Iranian Shura Council&#8217;s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi stressed that Syria is the frontline of the resistance in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Boroujerdi said at a press conference in Damascus\u00a0on Tuesday that Iran stands against terrorism in Syria and defends the axis of resistance,\u00a0congratulating the Syrian\u00a0people\u00a0over victories in battlefields.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-136183 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/2-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Iranian\u00a0 diplomat added that the US, British and French aggression on Syria came in the aftermath of the defeat of the terrorist organizations,\u00a0 noting that the Syrian air defenses turned it into political and military defeat after shooting down dozens of missiles fired by the US and its allies.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the illegitimate US and Turkish\u00a0 presence\u00a0 in Syria,\u00a0 Boroujerdi said that Syria is and independent state and a UN member state,\u00a0 therefore any foreign\u00a0 military presence\u00a0 on Syrian territories without its approval is considered\u00a0 an occupation and their troops have to withdraw immediately.<\/p>\n<p>He criticized threats made by the US President Donald Trump to pull out of Iran nuclear deal and impose new sanctions on his country.<\/p>\n<p>Boroujerdi highlighted the longstanding political and military cooperation between Syria and Iran which contributed to the defeat of terrorists in Syria, stressing Iran&#8217;s refusal of Turkish policies towards Syria.<\/p>\n<p>He welcomed every effort exerted to push the political\u00a0track in Syria forwards, pointing\u00a0out that any decision taken in Geneva and Astana without the approval of the Syrian government is doomed to failure.<\/p>\n<p>On economic cooperation between Syria and Iran,\u00a0Boroujerdi indicated that there will be future visits for Iranian officials to Syria during\u00a0 which\u00a0 long-term cooperation memorandums will be signed.<\/p>\n<p>R.Raslan\/Mazen<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Damascus,\u00a0SANA_ Chairman of the Iranian Shura Council&#8217;s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi stressed that Syria is the frontline of the resistance in the region.
