Damascus, SANA- Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, discussed with Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Pierre Krahenbuhl , the situation of the Palestinian refugees in Syria and the efforts exerted by the Syrian government to provide them with requirements of respect life.<\/p>\n
In this regard, Krahenbuhl appreciated the services and capabilities offered by the Syrian government to the Palestinian refugees throughout the latest years.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe difficulties that encounter UNRWA after a number of states stopped financing the Agency will affect the services provided to the Palestinian refugees in the region,\u201d Krahenbuhl added.<\/p>\n
UNRWA institutions are looking for alternatives in order to ensure requirements of providing its services to the Palestinians across the world.<\/p>\n
For his part, Mikdad held the US and Israel responsible for the suffering of the Palestinian people and depriving them from their basic rights.<\/p>\n
Mikdad pointed out that Syria has condemned the US Administration\u2019s suspension of its commitments in UNRWA budget in the interest of Israel.<\/p>\n
He went on to say that the terrorist groups, in declared cooperation with Israel, attacked the Palestinian camps in Syria and destroyed their facilities.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Syrian State will give a special attention to overcome the repercussions of the crisis in Syria whether in regards to the Syrians or to the Palestinians,\u201d Mikdad affirmed.<\/p>\n
