Damascus, SANA \u2013 For the first time in Damascus, professional and amateur chefs gather in Food Street in Tishreen Park to present a wide range of dishes for food enthusiasts.<\/p>\n

More than 20 restaurants and cooking enthusiasts are participating in the event, which seeks to bring together different restaurants to a single location via booths so that people can enjoy a variety of dishes without having to travel around the city.<\/p>\n

Zaid Ajlani, the organizer of the event, told SANA that Food Street has proven to be popular, asserting that this event is committed to hygiene standards.<\/p>\n

Hadi Nahhas, another organizer, said Food Street was organized by BeeOrder, a company which had launched the first app for ordering food via mobile in Syria.<\/p>\n

Nahhas said that this experience isn’t exclusive to restaurants and food companies, as it also allows cooking enthusiasts to participate and perhaps launch a business.<\/p>\n

A number of participating chefs said the event is a very good idea to introduce people to new dishes, and it will help chefs and restaurants learn about people’s preferences and which dishes are the most popular.<\/p>\n

Food Street will remain open until July 26th.<\/p>\n
