Damascus, SANA- Grand Mufti of the Republic Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun affirmed on Saturday that Syria is fighting terrorism on behalf of the world.<\/p>\n
Hassoun\u2019s remarks came during a meeting with head of the Hungarian Greek Catholic Archbishop Peter Fulop Kocsis.<\/p>\n
He added that the Syrian people, thanks to their steadfastness, sacrifice and bravery along with the army and leadership, have managed to achieve victory over terrorism.<\/p>\n
In turn, Kocsis said that Western media presented a misleading and distorted image of what is happening in Syria, saying that “time has come for the international community to heed the truth about the Syrian people being subjected to terrorism.”<\/p>\n
