Damascus, SANA- Chairman of the General Federation of Trade Unions (GFTU)\u00a0Jamal al-Qadiri stressed that laborers in Syria are determined to remain steadfast in the face of the terrorist war waged against their country.<\/p>\n
al-Qadiri\u2019s remarks came during a meeting held on Tuesday evening with the \u00a0delegations which are participating in the International Conference in Solidarity with Syria, held by the World Peace Council, the International Young Democrat Union (IYDU) and the National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS).<\/p>\n
Qadiri said that laborers in Syria have faced a terrorist war waged against their country as they managed to preserve the movement of the production wheel and they have stood by the Syrian Arab Army till achieving the final victory and eliminating terrorism.<\/p>\n
He indicated to the campaign of misleading launched against Syria by many media outlets which worked on distorting facts and circulating lies during the years of the terrorist war waged against Syria.<\/p>\n
For her part, President of the World Peace Council Maria do Socorro Gomes expressed the solidarity of the participating delegations with Syria in the face of the war launched against it.<\/p>\n
\u201cMembers of the delegations convey a message of amity, friendship and solidarity from the peoples of their countries to the Syrian people,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
