Damascus, SANA- Let us run for BASMA Marathon was launched on Friday from Damascus-based Sheraton Hotel in support of children with cancer.<\/p>\n
The marathon is organized by BASMA Association “Support Children with Cancer” .<\/p>\n
The participants will cross 5 kilometers, setting off from Sheraton hotel towards al-Rabwah road along the way to the Children hospital , touring al-Mwasat square to Mazzeh highway and Umayyad square to end the race at the Sheraton.<\/p>\n
After the marathon is completed, the participants will join in an artistic concert and entertainment activities that are to be held at Sheraton , according to statement published on BASMA ‘s facebook page.<\/p>\n
The event is the second activity of BASMA association for this year, in which the smile returned campaign was held last February , including 28 ways to support the children with cancer literally and morally.<\/p>\n
BASMA is a volunteer NGO which was declared in 2006 , It seeks to improve the health and social conditions of children with cancer in Syria , providing them and their families with financial, psychological and moral support during the treatment period as well as increasing community awareness on pediatric cancer.<\/p>\n
