Damascus, SANA- Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hammoudeh Sabbagh affirmed the importance of China\u2019s stances in support of Syria during the years of the crisis.<\/p>\n
Sabbagh\u2019s remarks came during a meeting on Thursday with China\u2019s Ambassador to Syria Feng Biao and the accompanying delegation.<\/p>\n
Sabbagh pointed out to the deep-rooted historical relations biding Syria and China, expressing confidence that China will be a real partner to Syria in the reconstruction process as it has been a partner in steadfastness and victory.<\/p>\n
The Speaker called for bolstering parliamentary relations between the two countries to serve the interests of the two peoples.<\/p>\n
For his part, the Chinese Ambassador hailed Syria\u2019s victories over terrorism, affirming that China will encourage its companies to participate in the reconstruction stage in Syria.<\/p>\n
Syria represents an important stop on the Silk Road which connects China with the countries of the region, Biao said.<\/p>\n
He reiterated his country\u2019s support for resolving the crisis in Syria, stressing the Syrian people\u2019s right to decide their future by the themselves away from foreign interference.<\/p>\n
