New York, SANA Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN Bashar al Jaafari stressed that terrorist organizations in Syria have sought with full support of terrorism-sponsoring governments to eliminate the existence of ‘the Syrian woman’ as a human being relying on shameful and immoral fatwas where hundreds of girls and women have been victims amidst suspicious international silence.<\/p>\n
During the UN General Assembly’s session held on\u00a0Monday on Advancement of Women, al-Jaafari said\u00a0Syria has been suffering for three years from\u00a0terrorism \u2026 the world will not forget that sixteen-year old Syrian girl from Raqqa who was slaughtered only for having an account on Facebook. The world will not also forget that girl who committed suicide to escape a compulsive marriage to a terrorist Jihadist with a Tunisian citizenship.<\/p>\n
He went on to day that we will never forget the\u00a0Syrian girls who have been kidnapped from their\u00a0homes in front of their own parents’ eyes and then\u00a0taken as slaves ‘Sabias’ (odalisques or women\u00a0whose rapists are allowed based on Sharia- to\u00a0sexually abuse them because they do not belong to\u00a0the Jihadists’ religion) or Malikat al-Yamin\u00a0(women taken as wives without legal or religious\u00a0contracts) to terrorists calling themselves\u00a0Jihadists where a single girl is raped for tens of\u00a0times a day.<\/p>\n
Al-Jaafari pointed out that for three years,\u00a0members of the Wahhabi terrorist organizations\u00a0have committed gang rapes against thousands of\u00a0Syrian women, and these organizations sought with\u00a0full support of Arab, regional and international
\ngovernments to eliminate the existence of the\u00a0Syrian woman as a human being, changing her into a\u00a0method for entertaining terrorists and imposing\u00a0their ill dark ideology on them.<\/p>\n
He clarified that this obscurantist ideology has\u00a0imposed restrictions on women inside their\u00a0families, in the way they dress, in education and\u00a0within their society through Sharia court verdicts\u00a0that contradict with the level of Constitution-ensured dignity and freedom the Syrian women were\u00a0enjoying throughout the past decades.<\/p>\n
Al-Jaafari pointed out the terrorist groups\u00a0committed crimes inside the refugee camps in the\u00a0neighboring countries of Turkey and Jordan where\u00a0they have been suffering from the most atrocious\u00a0forms of sexual abuse and psychological\u00a0suppression as well as human trafficking.<\/p>\n
The so-called international community, some senior UN officials and many western countries known for their frequent statements on supporting women were only busy accusing the Syrian government, ignoring that it has -contrary to the Saudi regime- ensured women’s rights in all life spheres side by side with men.<\/p>\n
Al-Jaafari said that after three years of the\u00a0multi-nationalities terrorist war against Syria\u00a0and after the so-called international community,\u00a0including the countries which support terrorism,\u00a0realized the atrocity of that takfiri terrorism,\u00a0the Syrian women wonder when the countries which\u00a0are involved in this dirty terrorist war will\u00a0reconsider their criminal calculations and stop
\nbacking terrorism to allow hope, security and\u00a0peace needed by the Syrian women to return to\u00a0their country.<\/p>\n
He wondered is not it the time for the senior\u00a0officials of the United Nations UN to reconsider\u00a0their suspicions about the evidence provided by\u00a0the Syrian Government on the activities of the\u00a0foreign armed terrorists, asserting the importance\u00a0of implementing the resolutions of the UN Security\u00a0Council No. 2170 and 2178 away from any\u00a0exceptional readings.<\/p>\n
Al-Jaafari said that the Syrian women were the\u00a0first spectrum of the society which have paid the\u00a0price of the terrorist attack against Syria,\u00a0particularly due to the close-minded ideas of the\u00a0takfiri ideology which is backed by the regimes of\u00a0the Gulf and Turkey and the Wahhabi fatwas which\u00a0humiliate women and deprive them of their rights,\u00a0achievements and their active role in the Syrian
\nsociety.<\/p>\n
He referred to the fatwa of the so-called Jihad\u00a0al-Nikah or Jihad marriage which Syria has warned\u00a0the UN about its danger for several times and\u00a0called upon the UN bodies to take prompt and\u00a0serious measures to stop this shameful phenomenon\u00a0and to account those who issue and promote this\u00a0fatwa.<\/p>\n
Al-Jaafari added that Syria’s calls for curbing\u00a0this phenomenon has not been heeded despite of the\u00a0fact that Western and Arab governments admitted\u00a0the existence of this phenomenon in their own\u00a0societies.<\/p>\n
He indicated that the suspicious international silence towards the suffering of the Syrian and Iraqi women has allowed this shameful fatwa to spread and continue as the number of its victims has reached hundreds as the women are begging for freeing them from this torture.<\/p>\n
Al-Jaafari referred to a report made by British\u00a0The Guardian Newspaper in which it depended on\u00a0statements of the interior ministers of some of\u00a0European countries in which they say that their\u00a0countries export girls to Syria such as France,\u00a0England, Germany, Austria, Sweden and the US,\u00a0adding that some of those girls are less than 13\u00a0years old such as the French girl Noura.<\/p>\n
He reiterated Syria’s call for exerting more\u00a0efforts and paying the utmost importance to stop\u00a0this immoral fatwa and to find the suitable\u00a0mechanism to account the governments of the\u00a0countries which have a legal authority on those\u00a0who issue this fatwa or spread it.<\/p>\n
