Damascus, SANA- Syrian Investment Agency(SIA) attracted 102 projects during 2018 with a cost exceeding SYP 895 billion, in which 7959 job opportunities will be provided when the projects start work.<\/p>\n
The agency said in a report on its work during 2018 that the work is underway to implement 34 projects with an investment cost estimated at SYP 10 billion.<\/p>\n
Three projects have been implemented with an estimated value of 1.144 billion in the domain of industry as they provided 800 job opportunities.<\/p>\n
The agency said that it participated in all the events and promotional activities during 2018 as a step for promoting investment in Syria in order to reach the largest number of investors, and it launched 40 investment opportunities in Arabic and foreign languages through a promotional campaign, in coordination with the bodies concerned with investment, in addition to participating in 63 promotional activities.<\/p>\n
The agency said that it has developed a new mechanism for the work of the investment services center , aimed at activating the work of ministries’ representatives and the public bodies and supporting the current projects.<\/p>\n
