Damascus, SANA- Indian Ambassador in Damascus Man Mohan Bhanot affirmed his country’s solidarity with Syria and its appreciation of the Syrians’ sacrifices for eradicating terrorism from every inch of \u00a0their homeland.<\/p>\n
The Ambassador’s remarks came in a speech delivered during a reception \u00a0held Sunday by the Indian Embassy at the Damascus-based Dama Rose Hotel to celebrate \u00a0the 70th<\/sup> Republic Day of India.<\/p>\n He indicated that India has exerted all possible efforts to alleviate the suffering of the friendly country of Syria.<\/p>\n He added that the project of providing prosthetic limbs for the amputees and the disabled will be opened in March 2019 in the Syrian city of Jablieh.<\/p>\n Bhanot expressed hope that the scholarships granted by India to the Syrians will help qualifying and training the cadres to be able to contribute to the reconstruction of their homeland.<\/p>\n He noted that the visits paid by a number of Indian businessmen to Damascus with the aim of consolidating bilateral cooperation will be fruitful.<\/p>\n For his part, Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Fayssal Mikdad said that the technical cooperation between Syria and India is rapidly developing.<\/p>\n Mikdad added that this cooperation comes in framework of implementing \u00a0what President Bashar al-Assad affirmed of enhancing the rapprochement with the east in a time when the Western states and the US are adopting the policy of imposing sanctions and brutal siege on the Syrian people \u00a0to serve “Israel” and support terrorism.<\/p>\n He indicated that India has opened its universities and educational and technological institutions to train and qualify Syrian students and it stands by \u00a0Syria in its war against terrorism.<\/p>\n Ruaa al-Jazaeri<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Damascus, SANA- Indian Ambassador in Damascus Man Mohan Bhanot affirmed his country’s solidarity with Syria and its appreciation of the Syrians’ sacrifices for eradicating terrorism from every inch of \u00a0their homeland.
