{"id":157470,"date":"2019-02-04T17:58:32","date_gmt":"2019-02-04T15:58:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/?p=157470"},"modified":"2019-02-04T22:00:44","modified_gmt":"2019-02-04T20:00:44","slug":"sri-lanka-consulate-holds-reception-on-its-national-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=157470","title":{"rendered":"Sri Lanka Consulate holds reception on its National Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Damascus, SANA-Consulate of Sri Lanka in Damascus held a reception on Monday on the 71<sup>st<\/sup> occasion of National Day.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-157472 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/2-10.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"196\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Consul of Sri Lanka in Damascus Mohammad Msalam al-Droubi hailed the distinguished relations connecting Syria and Sri Lanka in the cultural, social and economic domains, saying that both countries had a history of struggle in the face of destabilization attempts and foreign intervention.<\/p>\n<p>He hoped the two countries would have more cooperation, particularly during the reconstruction stage.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, for his part, described relations between the two states as strong which are based on mutual respect and cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>He added that in spite of pressures which have been exerted on Sri Lanka, it has stood by Syria against terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>Mazen Eyon<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Damascus, SANA-Consulate of Sri Lanka in Damascus held a reception on Monday on the 71st occasion of National Day.
