{"id":161814,"date":"2019-03-26T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-03-26T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sana.sy\/en\/?p=161814"},"modified":"2019-03-26T09:24:13","modified_gmt":"2019-03-26T07:24:13","slug":"trumps-hostile-statements-on-occupied-golan-spark-worldwide-condemnations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=161814","title":{"rendered":"Trump&#8217;s hostile statements on occupied Golan spark worldwide condemnations \u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Capitals, SANA-<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> Canadian<\/span> <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Foreign Ministry<\/span> of Monday expressed rejection of US President Donald Trump&#8217;s recognition of annexing occupied Syrian Golan to the Israeli occupation entity.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement quoted by the Associated Press, the Canadian Foreign Ministry said &#8221; In compliance with the rules of international law, Canada insists on its rejection to recognize Israeli&#8217;s permanent control over the Golan,&#8221; affirming the firmness of the Canadian stance towards that issue.<\/p>\n<p>The statement affirmed that &#8220;annexing lands by means of force is prohibited according to the international law.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Yemeni Foreign Minister<\/span> Hisham Sharaf Abdullah asserted that the decision of President Trump&#8217;s regarding the occupied Syrian Golan constitutes a flagrant violation of the international law.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to Saba News Agency, Abdullah said that the US decision violates the Security Council&#8217;s resolution no. 497 for the year 1981 which considered the annexation law as null and void.<\/p>\n<p>He affirmed that Yemen stands by Syria in its right to defend its occupied lands.<\/p>\n<p>In a relevant context, the<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> Iraqi Foreign Ministry<\/span> said that Trump&#8217;s decision to recognize the annexation of the occupied Syrian Golan to the Zionist occupation entity gives legitimacy to the occupation and contradicts with the international law.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry&#8217;s Spokesman Ahmad al-Sahhaf said in a statement that &#8220;Iraq supports the international legitimacy resolutions which stipulate for ending the occupation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ruaa al-Jazaeri<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Capitals, SANA- Canadian Foreign Ministry of Monday expressed rejection of US President Donald Trump&#8217;s recognition of annexing occupied Syrian Golan to the Israeli occupation entity.
