Havana, SANA_ Head of the Economic Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba Jorge Cuevas Ramos \u00a0expressed Cuba’s great appreciation for steadfastness of Syria’s people, leadership and army in their war against terrorism.<\/p>\n
That came during his meeting with Syria’s Ambassador to Cuba Dr. Idris Mayya in Havana on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Ramos stressed Cuba’s pride in the legendary steadfastness shown by the Syrian people over the past eight years, highly appreciating \u00a0the wise leadership of President Bashar al-Assad and sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army in the face of the terrorist organizations, their supporters and financiers.<\/p>\n
For his part, Ambassador Mayya said that Syria’s enemies are now trying, through the siege and unilateral economic measures imposed on Syria, to achieve what they have failed to achieve through supporting terrorism.<\/p>\n
He added that their attempts are doomed to failure, stressing that the Syrian Arab Army is determined to liberate every inch of Syrian territory From terrorism whatever the sacrifices were.<\/p>\n
