{"id":166660,"date":"2019-06-01T15:12:58","date_gmt":"2019-06-01T12:12:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sana.sy\/en\/?p=166660"},"modified":"2019-06-01T16:26:45","modified_gmt":"2019-06-01T13:26:45","slug":"common-prayer-in-mariamite-cathedral-held-with-participation-of-patriarch-irinej-of-serbia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=166660","title":{"rendered":"Common prayer in Mariamite Cathedral held with participation of Patriarch Irinej of Serbia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Damascus, SANA \u2013 A common prayer was held at Mariamite Cathedral of Damascus on Saturday with the participation of Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All East John X Yazigi, Syriac Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All East and Supreme Leader of the Syriac Orthodox Church, Mar Ignatius Aphrem II and Patriarch of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church Joseph Absi and heads of the Christian denominations in Syria.<\/p>\n<p>Patriarch Irinej of Serbia expressed in a speech pleasure over the solemn reception on \u201cthis holy land\u201d and the visit of the deep-rooted Antiochian Cathedral.<\/p>\n<p>He prayed for God to give the Syrian people strength for enduring pain and that peace would prevail the country.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Patriarch Yazigi welcomed the guest saying \u201cWe receive you today as Christians and Muslims to see the right image of coexistence and fraternity among all the Syrians.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, heading\u00a0 an ecclesiastical delegation, \u00a0arrived in Syria on an official visit that will last until June 7<sup>th.<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>During the visit, , Patriarch Irinej \u00a0will hold meetings, ecclesiastical, official and popular activities in addition to visiting \u00a0a number of holy places .<\/p>\n<p>R.
