<\/p>\nNew, York, SANA- -Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem held meetings with his Russian, Cypriot, Venezuelan counterpart on sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.<\/p>\n
Al-Moallem discussed with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov means of bolstering strategic relations between the two friendly countries , and the importance of continuous coordination in all issues.<\/p>\n

The two sides \u00a0discussed the developments of the situation in Syria, especially the committee on discussing the constitution, and\u00a0 the importance of continuing the fight against terrorism until liberating all Syrian territories and withdrawal of foreign troops present in Syria illegally.<\/p>\n
The two sides\u2019 points of view were identical regarding the committee on discussing the constitution, which has been formed recently, as it constitutes a significant step in the political track, reiterating that the constitutional process is a completely Syrian internal affair which should be led and owned by Syria and\u00a0 any foreign party will not be allowed to interfere\u00a0 in its work\u00a0 and outcomes.<\/p>\n
The view points were also identical with regard to the fight against terrorism till eradicating it completely and restoring security and stability to all Syrian territories with respect for \u00a0Syria\u2019s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.<\/p>\n
In the same context, al-Moallem discussed with Foreign Minister of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides the deeply-rooted historical ties binding Syria and Cyprus and means of enhancing them to serve the interests of the two friendly people .<\/p>\n
Minister al-Moallem reviewed the political and field situation in Syria, stressing that restoring security and stability and improving the security situation in most of the Syrian lands were thanks to the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army and the steadfastness of the Syrian people.<\/p>\n
For his part, the Cypriot Minister expressed his country\u2019s full support to Syria\u2019s sovereignty , independence and territorial integrity, asserting support to the efforts exerted for making the political track a success and reaching a political solution to the situation in Syria.<\/p>\n
He also expressed his country\u2019s hope that security and stability would be restored for all the Syrian lands.<\/p>\n
Al-Moallem also discussed with Venezuelan Foreign Affairs Minister Jorge Arreaza means of enhancing bilateral relations and the importance of coordinating stances\u00a0 between the two\u00a0 countries on all levels in facing the economic terrorism and hegemony which the US attempts to impose on them.<\/p>\n
The two sides views were identical on continued coordination between the two countries in the international circles to defend the joint interests of their friendly people and support the potentials of their steadfastness.<\/p>\n
Al-Moallem reiterated Syria\u2019s firm support to the Venezuelan people in facing the American attempts to spreading chaos\u00a0 in the country .<\/p>\n
For his part, the Venezuelan Minister\u00a0 expressed appreciation over Syria\u2019s stance in supporting his country, renewing Venezuela\u2019s support to Syria in facing the terrorist war waged against it.<\/p>\n
Al- Moallem also discussed with United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) Rola Dashti\u00a0 the relations of cooperation between Syria and the ESCWA.<\/p>\n
Talks also dealt with the importance of enhancing the development work in line with\u00a0 developments of situation in Syria, underlining\u00a0 the importance of\u00a0 ESCWA to contribute to developing the Syrian expertise in launching the reconstruction process.<\/p>\n
