Nur-Sultan, SANA_ Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed necessity of continuing efforts to find a settlement to the crisis in Syria based on Astana format, stressing commitment to Syria\u2019s unity and territorial integrity.<\/p>\n
Lavrov said, in a joint press conference with his Kazakh counterpart Mukhtar Tleuberdi in Nur-Sultan on Wednesday, that the two sides discussed the settlement process of the crisis in Syria and means of pushing it forwards in the framework of Astana format through dialogue.<\/p>\n
Lavrov pointed out that Russia will spare no efforts for backing the work of the constitutional committee.<\/p>\n
The Russian Minister said that \u201c There is no justification for Washington\u2019s behaviors in Syria and its illegitimate presence in it should be ended\u201d, indicating that Washington hasn’t carried out its obligations and its troops are still illegitimately deployed in al-Tanf area along with the terrorist organizations which attack the displaced Syrians in al-Rukban camp .<\/p>\n
On the situation in al-Jazeera region, Lavrov reiterated his country\u2019s call for avoiding \u00a0any works that would hinder the settlement of the crisis in Syria and adhering to the country\u2019s unity and territorial integrity.<\/p>\n
