Managua, SANA \u2013 Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN Bashar al-Jaafari on Friday presented his credentials to President of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega as non-resident ambassador extraordinary of Syria.<\/p>\n

During their meeting at the Presidential Palace in the capital Managua, al-Jaafari relayed to President Ortega the greetings of President Bashar al-Assad and his appreciation for the positions of the President and people of Nicaragua on the bilateral and international levels.<\/p>\n

He also expressed Syria’s solidarity with Nicaragua in the face of foreign conspiracies.<\/p>\n

For his part, President Ortega relayed via ambassador al-Jaafari a message of solidarity to President al-Assad and the Syrian people, noting that the two countries face the same enemy but in different forms, asserting his commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n

In a speech after receiving the credentials of several ambassadors including al-Jaafari, President Ortega said Syria is now closer to victory than ever before, denouncing the hostile and interfering policy of the United States against Nicaragua and other Latin American countries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
