{"id":179018,"date":"2019-11-23T18:46:00","date_gmt":"2019-11-23T16:46:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sana.sy\/en\/?p=179018"},"modified":"2019-11-23T19:21:02","modified_gmt":"2019-11-23T17:21:02","slug":"education-minister-syria-rejects-to-politicize-unesco-works","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=179018","title":{"rendered":"Education Minister discusses cooperation with UNESCO in scientific research field"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Paris, SANA_ Minister of Education, Imad al-Azab discussed with Assistant Director-General of the Science Sector at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Shamila Nair-Bedouelle prospects of joint cooperation in the field of scientific research.<\/p>\n<p>The exchange of experiences for training and qualifying scientific cadres for university and post-university education was also reviewed.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting between al-Azab and his accompanying delegation and Nair-Bedouelle was held Saturday on the sidelines of the 40th session of the UNESCO General Conference in Paris.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Azab confirmed Syria\u2019s rejection of the attempts of some countries to politicize the work of the UNESCO.<\/p>\n<p>Meeting UNESCO\u2019s Deputy Director General Xing Qu, al-Azab pointed out to the French government&#8217;s attempt to withhold entry visas of the Syrian delegation to prevent it from the participation in activities of the UNESCO General Conference.<\/p>\n<p>Qu welcomed participation of the Syrian Arab Republic delegation in the conference, appreciating Syria\u2019s position which rejects the politicization of UNESCO decisions.<\/p>\n<p>He indicated that the UNESCO demanded the French government to fulfill its obligations and grant the Syrian delegation entry visas .<\/p>\n<p>H.Zein\/Gh.A.Hassoun<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Paris, SANA_ Minister of Education, Imad al-Azab discussed with Assistant Director-General of the Science Sector at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Shamila Nair-Bedouelle prospects of joint cooperation in the field of scientific research.
