Christmas tree in Syria illuminated in Bassir in Daraa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Daraa, SANA &#8211; The St. George Greek Catholic congregation in the town of Bassir in Daraa countryside illuminated on Saturday evening the largest Christmas tree in Syria.<\/p>\n<p>The tree, which is set up in St. George Church, is 27 meters tall, its base is 11 meters wide, and is illuminated by one million lights.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony was accompanied by music from the church&#8217;s brass band and Christmas hymns by members of the congregation and al-Farah Choir.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1'
