New York, SANA-Syria\u2019s permanent representative to the UN, Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari, said on Thursday that Syria, in cooperation with its allies, has achieved important victories over terrorism though the price paid by the Syrian people due to supporting terrorism by some Security council member countries.<\/p>\n
Al-Jaafari added at a UN Security council session that those victories will have important impacts in retreating terrorism threats on the level of the world.<\/p>\n
He went on to say that some states believe that their economic and military dominance would give them the right to determine destiny of other member countries, and this threatens to make the destiny of UN similar to the destiny of the League of Nations.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u201cAll should seriously deal with the dangers of escalating threats of international terrorism, imposing economic blockade on the states and increasing practices outside the framework of the international legitimacy,\u201d al-Jaafari said.<\/p>\n
He wondered why Security council fails to implement its resolutions related to combating terrorism and abstains from punishing courtiers which continue supporting Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in Syria.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are surprised with the silence of the Security council about the aggression practices and military occupation perpetrated by the US, French, British and Turkish forces in Syria,\u201d al-Jaafari added.<\/p>\n
He also wondered why Security council is silent towards the Israeli continued occupation of Palestine and the Syrian Golan.<\/p>\n
