Damascus, SANA- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem on Wednesday received UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen and the accompanying delegation.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, a number of issues related to the political process in Syria, were on the table.<\/p>\n

The meeting also emphasized the importance of exerting all possible efforts and providing necessary support to achieve the hoped-for advance and make this process a success to achieve the interest of the Syrian people in a way that all its outcomes would be based on a Syrian-Syrian decision along with affirming the necessity of respecting Syria\u2019s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.<\/p>\n

The two sides underlined the importance of adhering to the bases and procedures of the committee of discussing the constitution to maintain its Syrian independent decision without any foreign interference.<\/p>\n
