Damascus, SANA-A military source has affirmed that the Syrian air defenses have intercepted an Israeli missile aggression that targeted the suburbs of Damascus and the southern region, destroying large numbers of the hostile missiles.<\/p>\n
The military source told SANA that \u201cAt dawn, our air defense intercepted two waves of air aggression, the first of which started at 01:12 am and it targeted some of our military positions in the suburbs of Damascus, while the second wave started at 01:41 am and it targeted military positions in the suburbs of Daraa, Quneitra and Damascus Countryside with a number of missiles fired by Israeli warplanes from the airspace of Southern Lebanon and the occupied Golan.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe vigilance of our air defenses personnel have contributed to destroying large numbers of the hostile missiles and the aggression caused the injury of eight fighters, in addition to a material damage, and the repercussions have been followed up around the clock,\u201d the source noted.<\/p>\n
The source concluded by saying that the Army and Armed Forces General Command \u201caffirms that this Israeli aggressive escalation will not be able to save the armed terrorist organizations which have been collapsing in Idleb and western Aleppo in front of the strikes of the Syrian Arab Army.\u201d<\/p>\n
