Damascus, SANA- Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in Damascus Mun Jong-nam said that special relations that bind Syria and DPRK based on firm principles.<\/p>\n

The Ambassador\u2019s remarks came during a reception ceremony held by DPRK Embassy in Damascus on Thursday marking the 78th birth anniversary of late leader Kim Jong Il.<\/p>\n

The Ambassador said that his country stands firmly by Syria\u2019s government, army and people in their just struggle aimed at protecting the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.<\/p>\n

He pointed out to the active exchange of delegations between Syria and DPRK over past year and that indicates deeply-rooted strategic relations binding the two countries.<\/p>\n

For his part, Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad\u00a0 said that despite the difficult years which the two countries have undergone, relations have grown stronger and the two countries have repelled similar attacks against them.<\/p>\n
