New York, SANA-Russia\u2019s Permanent Representative to the UN Vassily Nebenzia slammed exploiting the UN mechanism for delivering cross-border humanitarian aid in Syria by some states in a way that contradicts with Syria\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity.<\/p>\n
Novosti News Agency quoted Nebenzia as saying in a statement on Monday that \u201cThe terrorist organizations positioned in Idleb use the humanitarian aid as a tool to exert pressure on the civilian residents and they benefit from them, and there is direct and indirect evidence on that\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIn addition to that, some foreign parties exploit the mechanism of the cross-border aid delivery in Syria in a way that threatens of separating a number of areas in the country,\u201d Nebenzia added.<\/p>\n
Earlier on Monday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergey Vershinin affirmed in a statement to journalists, called for not politicizing the humanitarian aid file in Syria and to deliver the aid in coordination with the Syrian legitimate government.<\/p>\n
It is noteworthy, that last Friday, the International Security Council adopted a draft resolution on aid delivery in Syria through a single border crossing for a one year.<\/p>\n
