{"id":20037,"date":"2014-11-30T20:45:00","date_gmt":"2014-11-30T18:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sana.sy\/en\/?p=20037"},"modified":"2014-11-30T20:45:00","modified_gmt":"2014-11-30T18:45:00","slug":"armenian-ambassador-honors-prominent-syrian-researcher","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=20037","title":{"rendered":"Armenian ambassador honors prominent Syrian researcher"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Damascus, SANA-Armenian ambassador in Damascus Arshak Poladian granted Syrian writer and researcher Dr. Nabil Touma the Armenian embassy&#8217;s golden medal for his efforts in boosting bilateral Syrian-Armenian relations.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony took place at the Armenian embassy in Damascus on the 23rd anniversary of Armenia&#8217;s independence.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to SANA, ambassador Poladian said the honoring ceremony was an acknowledgement of Touma&#8217;s role in &#8220;enhancing bilateral relations between Syria and Armenia, mainly in the cultural sphere, as well as his publications that divulged attempts to exterminate the Armenian nation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-20039 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/\u0627\u0644\u0633\u0641\u064a\u0631-2.jpg\" alt=\"\u0627\u0644\u0633\u0641\u064a\u0631 2\" width=\"135\" height=\"203\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/\u0627\u0644\u0633\u0641\u064a\u0631-2.jpg 135w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/\u0627\u0644\u0633\u0641\u064a\u0631-2-99x150.jpg 99w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 135px) 100vw, 135px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Despite all adverse conditions in his country, Dr. Touma insists to write, think and publish for the wellbeing of mankind,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Touma was born in Damascus. He holds a PhD in mechanics from Ukraine and a PhD in Humanities from Italy.
