Homs, SANA- Members of the firefighting and the civil defense teams in Homs put out a fire that was erupted on Thursday in the groves of al-Zweitineh village in Homs western countryside.<\/p>\n

Director of Civil Defense in Homs Brigadier General Ghaiyath Aqel told SANA in a statement that the fire spread over an area of about fifteen dunums of olive trees and forest trees, adding that the civil defense and the firefighting teams managed to control the fire and extinguished it completely.<\/p>\n

He indicated that another fire was erupted in al-Jouwikhat village in Homs western countryside, adding that the firefighting and the civil defense teams are trying to control the fire which reached the forest trees in a very difficult and rugged terrain area , which hinders firefighting operations.
\nAqel said that the firefighting and the civil defense teams extinguished a fire erupted in Eyon al-Wadi village in Homs western countryside, indicating that the fire spread over an area of 12 dunums of forest trees.<\/p>\n
