occupation-backed QSD militia attacked the cadres and students of the Martyr Hanna Atallah High School for the Outstanding Students in Hasaka city during their sit-in in front of the school to protest the militia’s practices and taking over that school and preventing them from entering their classrooms.

SANA’s reporter in Hasaka city said that the militia armed members attacked students and teachers during their sit-in in front of the school, beat them, threatening to use weapons to disperse them, and kidnapped a number of students amid chants denouncing the militia’s practices aimed at depriving them of their right to education.

The director of Al-Hasaka Education Directorate, Ilham Sourkhan, told the reporter that, “The families and students reject the occupation of schools by “ QSD” militia, which wants to turn them into military headquarters.

<p style="text-align: about 3735521 students from different educational levels in all governorates went to 13,280 schools, with the Ministry of Education making the necessary preparations for the start of the new academic year 2020-2021 and ensuring a safe and healthy return through taking the necessary precautionary measures to confront the Coronavirus.

In light of the “QSD” militia taking over most of the schools in Hasaka province and the big rejection of the curricula that they are trying to teach by force, parents seek to transfer their children to public schools to continue their education with the curricula approved by the Ministry of Education.

<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-202982 gallery-columns-2
