Capitals, SANA- Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called on the international community to prevent Turkey from interfering in the ongoing conflict between his country and Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n
Russia Today website quoted Pashinyan in a recorded speech he gave on Sunday as saying \u201cwe are on the verge of a large-scale war in the South Caucasus, which threatens of unpredictable consequences \u2026 war can spread beyond the region and take on a wider scale \u2026 I call on the international community to use all of its influence to halt any possible interference by Turkey, which will ultimately destabilize the situation in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pashinyan held Azerbaijan responsible for the new escalation in Nagorno-Karabakh, stressing that the Azeri attack would receive an “appropriate response”, noting that the Azerbaijani forces have been suffering losses during their offensive operations in the region.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Armenian government on Sunday declared martial law and general mobilization in the country due to the military escalation with Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.<\/p>\n
For his part, Armenian Defense Minister David Tunoyan warned that his country’s response this time “will be more severe than ever,” pointing out that the Armenian army has all the necessary means for that.<\/p>\n
