Prague, SANA- Czech Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaoralek renewed his call for negotiation with Syrian government without which no solution can be reached.<\/p>\n
“We have been repeatedly hearing reservations to the effect that it is almost impossible to draw a line between moderate opposition and “bad” or extremist opposition, and that this division does not work when approaching specific events,” Zaoralek said on Wednesday in an interview with Pravo, a Czech daily newspaper.<\/p>\n
Zaoralek pointed out that he called during a Brussels Conference for involving Syria and Iran in the international efforts t fight the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) because the current question is whether the bet on the so called \u201c moderate opposition \u201c will yield any result.<\/p>\n
He pooh-poohed differentiation between a “moderate” and extremist opposition, describing it as a “weak perception,” a point, he added, that has been agreed on by many who attended the anti-ISIS conference in Brussels.<\/p>\n
“This point has raised many eyebrows during Brussels conference. It is a perception that is, apparently, based on good intentions but it creates a fanciful world,” the Czech FM said.<\/p>\n
Czech has kept its embassy in Damascus open, representing the US and other Western states’ interest in Syria which, he said “serves as a bridge that might be used when necessary.”<\/p>\n
