Provinces, SANA-<\/span> Units of the Army and Armed Forces on Thursday continued to tighten the noose around foreign-backed terrorist groups in several areas across the country, inflicting heavy losses upon them.<\/p>\n

Daraa<\/span><\/p>\n

The army foiled a suicide terrorist’s attempt to blow himself up in a car bomb before reaching a military post in Tal al-Za’tar in the countryside of Daraa province.<\/p>\n

Army units killed large numbers of terrorists after storming their dens in al-Fqei’, Jassim, Deir al-Adas, Dael and al-Hrak, leaving many terrorists dead and injured \u00a0in al-Sheikh Miskeen and Ebta’ in the countryside.<\/p>\n

Other units\u00a0of the armed forces destroyed a number of terrorists’ vehicles which were equipped with medium-sized machine guns and others loaded with ammunition, leaving many terrorists dead and wounded, to the north of old Customs building in Daraa al-Balad in the city.<\/p>\n

Damascus Countryside<\/span><\/p>\n

The army carried out a series of military operations against dens and gatherings of terrorists in Eastern al-Ghouta, al-Qalamoun Mountains and Darya, killing scores of terrorists, some of them of Libyan nationality.<\/p>\n

\u00a0SANA field reporter said the army killed many terrorists in Joubar, among them al-Hadi al-Sabrati, from Libya, after destroying a den for them near the sport Hall.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the army destroyed one of the terrorists’ dens in Misraba, near Harasta, killing many of them, including Abu Mohammad al-Iraqi.<\/p>\n

The Army also killed and injured 20 terrorists in al-Nashabiya in eastern al-Ghouta.<\/p>\n

In al-Qalamoun Mountains, the army foiled an attempt by terrorists to infiltrate from Lebanon into al-Mishrefeh, Ras al-Maarat and Esal al-Ward, killing many of them.<\/p>\n

A unit of the armed forces also destroyed a den for terrorists, killing all inside in Deir Maker in Damascus Countryside.<\/p>\n

Homs<\/span><\/p>\n

The army carried out a series of special operations against dens of terrorists, killing many of them and destroying their criminal equipment in al-Wa’er, al-Mishrifeh, Um sharshouh and Tal Dahab in Homs and its countryside.<\/p>\n

A military source told SANA that the Army killed many terrorists of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Rahoum village to the East of Homs.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Army also killed many terrorists and injured others in Masaad village near the Syrian-Lebanese borders where terrorists infiltrate, the majority of them from Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization.<\/p>\n

The source added that the army killed scores of terrorists in al-Wa’er neighborhood in western Homs, destroying their den with all weapons inside.<\/p>\n

Idleb<\/span><\/p>\n

A military source said Units of the Army and Armed Forces eliminated a number of terrorists and destroyed their vehicles in Kansafra, al-Sahan and in al-Zawia mountain in Idleb countryside.<\/p>\n

Deir Ezzor<\/span><\/p>\n

The Army, in cooperation with popular defense groups, pursued remnants of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria terrorist organization in the surroundings of Deir Ezzor airport, Haweija and al-Saqr, killing scores of them, the majority of foreign nationalities.<\/p>\n

Omar al-Breki, Abu Thabet al-Shroudi from Saudi Arabia and Milhim al-Khazwani were identified among the dead terrorists.<\/p>\n
