Kuala Lumpur , SANA, The official draw for the\u00a02015 AFC Cup, held in Kuala Lumpur, set Syrian al-\u00a0Wahda Football team, the winner of the Republic\u00a0Football Cup, in Group A with the Jordanian \u00a0teams of al-Wahdat or Zat Ras, Omani al-Nahda or al-Sweiq teams and a playoff \u00a0winner.<\/p>\n
Al-Jaish, the second Syrian football team will play\u00a0the preliminary tournament of the championship.<\/p>\n
The draw included 14 football teams which were\u00a0distributed to 4 groups for West Asia and 4\u00a0for \u00a0East Asia.<\/p>\n
West Asia teams were devided as : Group B including teams of Iraq’s \u00a0al-Shurta, Jordanian al-Jazira, \u00a0Palestinian al-Nis and a playoff winner.<\/p>\n
Group C: including teams of Kuwaiti al-Qadisiyeh or al-Arabi ,\u00a0Iraqi Arbil \u00a0Iranian al-Istiklal, and a
\nplayoff winner.<\/p>\n
Group D: including teams of \u00a0Bahraini al-Rifaa or al-Manameh,\u00a0Kuwaiti al-Kuwait , Lebanese al-Najmeh\u00a0and a playoff winner.<\/p>\n
Syrian football teams have remarkable\u00a0achievements in AFC championship as al-Jaish won its first edition in 2004 after defeating al-Wahda,\u00a0while al-Itihad won 2010 edition after defeating\u00a0the Kuwaiti al-Qadisiyeh team.<\/p>\n
