Tartous, SANA- President Bashar al-Assad and Mrs. Asma al-Assad on Wednesday participated, with more than 300 students of the voluntary teams of the Syrian Students, in the afforestation of Harsh al-Tufaha (Apple Forest) area in al-Drekish countryside which was affected by the fires last year.<\/p>\n

President al-Assad and Mrs. Asma’s\u00a0 participation comes within the framework of a national voluntary campaign which was launched weeks ago and will continue to the end of next March with participation of a number of syndicates, organizations and NGOs, and aims at cultivating millions of forest and fruit plants in various Syrian provinces.<\/p>\n
